Former CSKA football player Vladimir Ponomarev expressed the opinion that the army club does not need to rent Zenit forward Alexander Sobolev.

“Loan of Sobolev to CSKA? Under no circumstances should you rent him from Zenit. No sense. Sobolev showed his level. Once upon a time he could still score, but now he does not have this skill. And in CSKA there are already forwards who don’t know how to score – we don’t need more of them,” Ponomarev quotes “RB Sport”.

Let us remind you that Sobolev moved to Zenit in September 2024. He played 16 matches for the team, scored two goals and provided one assist.

Earlier, the Zenit coach said that Sobolev’s problem was long training without a team.
