DreamWorks Animation is a studio known for such productions as “Shrek”, “Madagascar”, “How to Train Your Dragon”, “The Road to El Dorado” and “Kung Fu Panda”. For some time now, it has been cooperating with Apple, producing animated series for Apple TV+. One of them, entitled “Unfortunate Spells”, is already waiting for the second season next month. Apple has published its official trailer.
“Unfortunate Spells” is an animated series aimed mainly at younger viewers, mixing elements of adventure, comedy and horror. It tells the story of a family that, in order to lift a curse weighing on them, tries to return artifacts stolen by their ancestors to their rightful owners. The series was created by Jim Cooper (including “Dragonriders” and “Vinyl”) and Jeff Dixon (including “The Hurricane”). In the original version, the voices of the characters were provided by Gabrielle Nevaeh, Andre Robinson, Lyric Lewis, Rhys Darby, James Marsters, Rhea Perlman, Phylicia Rashad and Robert Englund. Unfortunately, the first season did not offer Polish dubbing and there is no indication that the situation will change in the second season.
The premiere of the second season of the series “Unfortunate Spells” has been announced for October 4, 2024. The first season is available to watch in its entirety on Apple TV+.
