Tercuman, who pointed out that seconds are precious for them and that unconscious and excessive calls cannot be compensated for, stated that during emergency calls, their expectation from citizens is that they calmly explain the incident in detail to the authorized person on the phone.
Tercuman pointed out that, in accordance with Article 42.A of the Law on Violations, the penalty for ‘occupying the 112 Call Center by making a false report’ is applied as 1,980 lira for the first call and 3,960 lira for the second call, and said, “In this context, a total of 19,800 lira fine was imposed on 8 citizens, one of whom called the call center repeatedly, unnecessarily between January 1 and July 29, 2024 in Sinop.”
