Mobile BTS are used at sporting or cultural events, when a large number of people are expected to be in one place temporarily. Or during natural disasters. Once the micro base station is installed, it only takes one technician about two hours to connect it to the network.
It can serve 6 to 8 thousand mobile users. It will provide them with frequency bands of 700/800/900/1800/2100/2600 and 3500 MHz (C-band). A 230 V connection is sufficient for power supply, but preferably 380 V (or via a diesel generator). It can usually last two hours on batteries.
It is ideally connected to the operator’s network via optics, possibly a microwave connection, but also via Starlink. It takes up four square meters on site (support points are needed around the floor plan for stability).
The dimensions of the BTS are 1.2 by 1.6 meters with a mast height of up to 11 meters. The mast is raised pneumatically using a compressor. This micromobile BTS is now standing in front of T-Mobil’s headquarters in Prague’s Roztyle.
