Update 7/16/2024:
More short videos showing off the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL have leaked online this week. Videos available on TikTok channel @pixo_unpacking show a pair of phones that have not yet been officially presented, this time in black.
Already videos the redesigned back of the new Pixels can be seen in particular, in the next video then there is a direct comparison with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Not only did Google fail (as it does every year) to keep information about new smartphones a secret, videos of the Pixel 9 in its pink color immediately hit the Internet. The official performance is scheduled for August 13 na keynote Made by Google 2024.
From the video, it is possible to see the revised “camera bar” in more detail, which now no longer goes directly into the phone’s frame and has a more rounded feel. The video did not leak mmagazine Android Authority and it shows the yet to be unveiled Pixel 9 ready for sale in Algeria.
Later it also appeared on the Internet video of the mentioned Pixel 9 even with the screen on. It shows the effort to make the frames symmetrical.
The unification of all artificial intelligence functions under the unified name of Google AI
Together with the arrival of the new Pixel 9, Google is again planning to combine all its artificial intelligence functions under the unified name Google AI, according to Android Authority magazine. The move would join Samsung with its Galaxy AI and Apple with its Apple Intelligence.
Google AI should add several new ones in addition to existing AI functions. We are talking about a completely new Add me function, which should work with group photos, especially with faces on them. Another new function should be the Studio, from which we could expect various creative activities, such as generating images (or even videos) similar to Apple Image Playground.
The last mentioned new AI functionality is Pixel Screenshots. It is supposed to be very similar to the controversial Recall of Microsoft. While Recall scans the contents of your screen almost constantly and basically doesn’t care much about privacy, Google’s Pixel Screenshots should be more privacy-focused.
Instead of automatically capturing everything on the screen, it should only work on screenshots that the user takes himself. After taking it, it should extract data from the screenshot, such as app names, web links, and the like. Subsequently, with the help of artificial intelligence or the multimodal Gemini Nano, it should process the data and get the user to the desired result.
