The other day, on December 27, 2024, the opening of Russia’s first automated line for the production of acoustic systems took place at the Gagarin Ural Plant in Mytishchi. The event brought together representatives of business, government agencies and the public.

The launch of the line became an important stage in the development of the Ural company. The new line uses robotic production processes and is capable of producing up to 5 million speaker systems per year. The defect rate, according to the company, has been reduced to 0.1%, which meets the requirements of automakers such as AvtoVAZ, GAZ, MAZ and KAMAZ.
The event was attended by honored guests, including the deputy head of the Mytishchi urban district, Elena Setrakova, who noted the importance of the line for the development of the region’s economy. As part of the event, a performance by the musical group “Chizh” took place. The guests were presented with the first speakers from the new production line and souvenirs.
The second stage of modernization of Gagarin Ural Plant is planned for the second quarter of 2025 and involves the installation of another robotic line using artificial intelligence technologies. This will increase production volume to 10 million units per year, and by 2030 the plant plans to reach production of 50 million systems annually. The company focuses on meeting the needs of the Russian and international markets, including segments of the automotive industry, sports and concert venues, as well as other industries.
The Ural company, founded in 1900, produces audio equipment and, according to the company itself, now occupies a significant share of the Russian acoustics market. The company’s plans include cooperation with federal retail chains to produce products under their brands. The first batch of such goods is planned for the second quarter of 2025.
