Urban Chicken is back, the festival that fuses urban and digital culture

The entity Neven Assoc. organizes this coming Saturday, September 28, from 5:30 p.m., at Nau 1 in Ca n’Oliveres, a new edition of theUrban Chicken. It is a festival designed for the young audience, which fuses urban and digital culture with music, dance, graffiti exhibitions, a video game area and an exhibition of tuned vehicles.

This year’s Urban Chicken will include the Grand Final of ‘Pugna Battles’, an epic rhyme battle that will crown a champion with a €200 prize and double points to qualify for the STLWFest. There will also be an exhibition of tuned urban cars, graphic printing on the spot with Artsdomotica and a Hi-Speed ​​GT simulator, thanks to Mapfre Bòbiles Martorell.

The street will come alive with energetic dance performances by the Espai Dansa and Step Dance Studio academies, in addition to performances by Manresan Stalow Fest. Those present will be able to move their bodies with a DJ session complete with all the hits of urban music and there will be a zone chill-out where to disconnect

This year the organization of the festival has opened a call for emerging artists in the disciplines of live music, urban art and delayed music (DJ’s). Those interested have been able to submit their proposals until September 10 through the Neven Assoc website.

Miguel Ángel Gracia, head of the organization, says that “the selected artists will have the opportunity to show their talent in front of a wide and diverse audience. The festival offers a platform for artistic creation and innovation, encouraging the participation of the young community and social cohesion”.

“The jury will choose the winners taking into account their artistic quality, their originality and their potential. They will receive a prize of 250 euros in Munich products, main collaborator of the festival and co-organizer of the call”.

In addition, Neven Assoc. organize one solidarity raffle for the benefit of the organization’s projects. Tickets for the price of 3 euros can be bought at the La Tapa de Lucifer establishment, located in the Cultural Center.
