Uriah Heep announced farewell tour

British rock legend Uriah Heep have announced their farewell tour.

In a video addressed to fans, Mick Boxthe only remaining original member of the band, revealed the news.

“Who would have thought that next year it will be 55 years since the founding of the band, which is really amazing. I know many of you have been with us since the beginning, and for that we thank you. It means everything in the world to us,” said Mick. “Unfortunately, we have made the decision to end next year’s world tour called ‘The Magician’s Farewell‘.

Box noted that concert dates will be announced in February 2025, and suggested that the tour will be extensive.

“During the next two to three years, we plan to play in as many places as possible and see you all for the last time,” he explained. “On behalf of the band and myself, I want to thank everyone for the continuous support you have always given us. It means everything in the world to us, and I really thank you for that.”

Uriah Heep is considered the pioneers of hard rock, heavy metal and progressive rock, and they achieved success during the 1970s. In America, their biggest commercial hit was “Easy Livin‘“ from 1972 from the album Demons and Wizards. Other famous songs include “Gypsy,” “The Wizard,” “Stealin‘” i „Sweet Lorraine.“

In total, Uriah Heep released 25 studio albums during his impressive career. Their latest, Chaos & Colourwas released in 2023.

In addition to Box, the band’s current lineup includes vocalist Bernie Shaw, keyboardist Phil Lanzon, drummer Russell Gilbrook, and bassist Dave Rimmer.
