Foreign. US presidential candidate Donald Trump has no plans to leave NATO if he wins the election. This is stated by his vice presidential candidate JD Vance in NBC’s “Meet the press” on Sunday.
– Donald Trump wants NATO to be strong. He wants to remain in NATO, Vance says, adding:
– But he also wants the NATO countries to actually bear their share of the defense burden.
The vice president specifically singled out Germany as a country that needs to invest more in defense, and claimed that NATO currently “practically consists of the United States, Great Britain and a few other countries.”
