Vente-unique.com, an expert in online sales of furniture and home furnishings in Europe, has revealed its unaudited turnover for the first 9 months of the 2023-2024 financial year (period from October 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024) and confirms double-digit growth.
Vente-unique.com continues its march forward! The online sales site for furniture and home furnishings has maintained strong sales momentum since the beginning of the financial year, with a double-digit growth rate, in a context that is still difficult for household consumption and marked by a certain wait-and-see attitude in France due to the current strong electoral agenda. The overall turnover over the first 9 months of the financial year thus shows a strong increase of 17.7% and reaches €172.6 million.driven by the strong performances achieved internationally and the continued rise of the marketplace.
Growth driven by strong international momentum
Vente-unique.com recorded an E-commerce turnover, including commissions generated by the marketplace, of €130.3 million over the first 9 months of the financial year, up 14.9%. Quarter after quarter, the Group has managed to increase the volume of products sold while maintaining its solid gross margin level, demonstrating the relevance of its positioning and its business model.
E-commerce activity is driven by continued strong international momentumwith a remarkable increase in sales of 26.5% in Northern and Eastern Europe and 22.7% in Southern Europe compared to the same period last year. Finally, growth in France remains solid and resilient (+5.5%) despite a rather gloomy context.
The marketplace, open in 8 countries, also continues to assert itself as a powerful growth accelerator for the Group. It is experiencing solid and steady growth in almost all the countries where it is deployed, particularly in France (16.3% of the E-commerce business volume in June 2024 compared to 13% in June 2023). Finally, the deployment of the marketplace in March 2024 in the Netherlands and Portugal has already been accompanied by a very satisfactory ramp-up throughout this 3rd quarter of the financial year.
First successful step in the relaunch of the iconic Habitat brand
Since the relaunch of the Habitat.fr website on June 13, 20247, Vente-unique.com, with the support of its majority shareholder CAFOM, has initially focused on its voluntary and proactive approach of providing a personalized response to each customer impacted by the liquidation of the former operator.
