Verdict for father who held a knife to his child’s throat to threaten his wife

The procedures of Şiyar A (32), who was detained at his address in Karabağlar yesterday evening, were completed at the police station.

In his statement, Şiyar A did not accept the accusations and claimed that his wife slandered him and said, “I did nothing. These images are old.” It was learned that he said.

The suspect, Şiyar A, was arrested for “threat with a weapon” by the judgeship to which he was referred.

Fatma A. (26), who lives in Burdur, applied to the prosecutor’s office with the complaint that her husband Şiyar A. (32), who lives in Izmir and is in the process of divorcing, called her on video and held a knife to her child’s throat to threaten her.

Following the complaint, Izmir Police Department teams started an investigation into the incident and Şiyar A. was taken into custody.

It was announced that 7-year-old Yiğit Cemil A. and 3-year-old Berat A., who were with the father, were taken under protection by the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
