The Via Transilvanica tourist route entered the top 100 most beautiful places to visit in the world by Time magazine. Via Transilvania or “the road that unites” is a tourist route of about 1,400 kilometers that crosses Romania diagonally, from Putna to Drobeta Turnu Severin.
Nicknamed the road that unites for its focus on communities, the project takes travelers through traditional villages that live off the land. Visitors can book a room in a hotel or inn or look for accommodation in the houses and parishes of the locals, where home-cooked meals are served with household products”, says Time magazine, writes Ziarul Financiar.
The route is intended for walking and cycling. Via Transilvanica is signposted with painted markings, signposts, and every kilometer there is an individually carved andesite bollard, bollards that probably form the longest art gallery in the world and which accompany travelers throughout the hike, according to the website- dedicated to the tourist route.
The top 100 most beautiful places to visit in the world also include destinations from Indonesia, Portugal, Australia, Italy, USA, Mexico, Thailand, France, Austria, Spain, England and many others.
