Users of Telegram, WhatsApp and Viber messengers have encountered massive outages. The largest number of complaints were received between 10:45 and 11:00 Moscow time. In total, 1.7 thousand complaints were received about Viber, 149 about Telegram, and 139 about WhatsApp.

The largest percentage of messages about messenger malfunctions came from users from Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Krasnodar Territory. According to the Sboy.rf portal, users encountered problems when sending and receiving messages, as well as when trying to connect to services.
Crashes in the Telegram messenger are not uncommon. For example, on October 3, the platform already encountered massive problems that affected 28.8 thousand users in Russia. Then the Telegram press service explained the failure as an “unprecedented load” on the servers due to the increased number of users caused by the crisis in the Middle East.
