The basketball players of the Patriots Levice scored their third victory in the B-group of the FIBA European Cup, triumphing over Cypriot Anorthosis Famagusta clearly 100:68 in front of the home audience.

Levice basketball players (pictured right Njegos Sikiras) recorded their third victory in the FIBA European Cup.
They remain in second place in the table with a record of three wins and one loss, so they can still advance to the next stage of the competition. They will perform next on Wednesday, November 6 at 8:00 p.m. on the deck of the Spanish Casademont Zaragoza.

The Lions started their important appearance in the FIBA European Cup in the right way, offensively they broke away from shooting for three points, and in addition, the Slovak pair Abrhám and Bojanovský led the team in terms of points.
Famagusta also showed their weapons, but they came up short when they were already losing by double figures in the first quarter. The home team played with good energy on both sides of the board, entering the second half with a score of 31:22.
The Patriots opened this phase of the match with an 8:1 run, which created a comfortable position for the next round. Although the guests did not have an adequate response, Levičany helped them a little with their indiscipline. However, it was important that the “yellow-green” three-point shooting worked and by halftime they increased their lead to 20 points – 56:36.
The game continued in a similar spirit after the break, the Patriots had absolute control over everything important. Famagusta still tried to reverse the negative development of the duel, but the difference from their point of view was constantly increasing.
The local basketball players, on the other hand, kept adding to the pace and gradually entertained the audience with exhibition events. They led 84:52 before the last 10 minutes. The winner of the match had already been decided, but Levičani were chasing as high a lead as possible to help themselves in the overall standings. They also pleased the audience by surpassing the 100-point mark, finally defeating the Cypriot team by a class difference.
