Victory team won the Latvian 7×7 mini-football cup

On October 19, the final Latvian 7×7 mini-football cup tournament among amateur teams took place in Riga, in which the “Victory” team from Daugavpils won an important victory, showing character and skill. The final meeting ended in a goalless draw (0:0), and the fate of the trophy was decided by a penalty shootout, where the “Victory” players showed exceptional accuracy and composure, which allowed them to win the Cup and take it to Daugavpils.

Six teams from different regions of Latvia participated in the tournament: “FC Caramba Riga” (Riga), “OzolĀne” (Zemgale), “ESI” (Kurzeme), “Valmieras SK Spēks” (Vidzeme), “Victory” (Latgale) and “ Jaungulbene” (North-East region). After the draw, the teams were divided into two groups of three participants. “Victory” took second place in its group, which allowed it to reach the semi-finals. In a tense struggle, the team beat the winner of the other group, securing a place in the finals, where its decisive victory took place.

“Victory” goalkeeper Edgar Lukovsky, who was recognized as the best goalkeeper at the end of the tournament, kept a clean sheet in every game. His reliable play was an important factor in the team’s success.

Also, managers Emanuels Muižnieks and Andrei Teplushonok played a significant role in organizing and supporting the team, whose efforts contributed to the successful performance of “Victory”.
