A little after 18:00 in the evening, an accident occurred at the sea near Zadar.

At the island of Premuda, the catamaran named ‘Princ Zadra’, which connects Zadar with Premuda, Silba and Olib, ran aground on a rock. There were 70 passengers on board, including many children. Due to the storm, the catamaran was supposed to be traveling on a somewhat different route than usual. “At around 18:20 in the afternoon, a catamaran ran aground in front of the port of Premuda, but according to the first reports, there were no injuries among the passengers and crew, and no pollution of the environment,” was announced by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure.

The inhabitants of Premuda immediately went to the rescue, using boats to transport the passengers to safety. As reported by the portal zadarski.hr, some of the passengers destined for the extended weekend were said to have been injured. The catamaran is said to be quite damaged, and water is said to be entering it.
