Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu posted on TikTok a video clip in which he presents the invoices for the flights he made with a private plane rented by Nordis. The invoices, says Ciolacu, prove that he flew on his own money.
“The biggest attack on me in this election campaign was related to some of my flights, but without making the difference that I flew on my own money, on my personal money, not on public money. All public money flights were economy class and I will continue to do so.
These flights, somehow related to the bankruptcy of a company. A few years ago, that company had no problem, on the contrary, many important people, public or private, from Romania, had contracts with that company. At that time, neither the owners of this company nor the company showed that they would have any problems.
What problems they have and how this story will end is not my business, it is the business of justice. I think my job was to prove that I have all the expenses I made, that I made them from my personal money, both for myself and for my family,” said Ciolacu in the video clip posted on TikTok.
On Monday evening, after the inauguration of the Government, Ciolacu gave an ironic answer to the journalists who asked him about the flights with private planes.
“I wrote to Santa Claus and I am firmly convinced that on December 25 he will leave them under the tree and I will film myself on TikTok to present them to you too.”
