VIDEO – Dacia Duster, praised by a British journalist

Carwow journalists tested the new Dacia Duster, and Mat Watson declared himself pleasantly surprised by several aspects of the new SUV produced at Mioveni.

The new Dacia Duster was officially unveiled almost a year ago, and the first copies have already been delivered to customers. Recently, the third generation of the SUV produced in Romania also reached the hands of journalist Mat Watson for a review.

Known for his presentations, Mat Watson was pleasantly impressed by several aspects of the new generation Dacia Duster.

First, he was very pleased with the car’s design, saying that now “you really want it, not because of the price, but because it looks good. I would happily buy one,” said Mat Watson. He was also pleasantly impressed to see that the car is fitted with rear disc brakes rather than drums.

What things does Mat Watson not like about the new Dacia Duster?

One of the complaints came with the engines, as he says his favorite engine was the 1.5 liter diesel. The new generation can be bought with three engines: 1.0 GPL with 100 HP, 1.2 Mild-Hybrid with 130 HP or 1.6 Full-Hybrid with 140 HP.

For those looking for the best fuel consumption, the 1.6 liter hybrid is the best choice. It’s also the only way the Duster can be bought with an automatic transmission.

Mat Watson also complained about the quality of the materials used in the interior, but he believes that the design is pleasant, modern, much more attractive than that of the old generations. However, he is not happy with certain decisions related to the ergonomics of the cabin, such as the oddly placed cup holders, but also with the fact that there are no soft areas on the door faces to rest your elbows on.

His verdict is that those who wish to purchase the new model can make this choice with confidence.
