Stroke, the 3rd leading cause of death in the world
right World Health Organizationstroke is the third leading cause of death in the world, among other diseases. Most strokes occur in a “silent” form.
There are 2 types of stroke – hemorrhagic and ischemic. In a hemorrhagic stroke, the blood artery breaks and this is followed by bleeding. And in the ischemic case, there is a violation of cerebral circulation due to blockage of the vessel, with subsequent tissue necrosis.
The most common cause of an ischemic stroke is a blood clot, cholesterol deposits, or a spasm that can cut off blood flow to a certain part of the brain.
As a result, swelling of the tissues around this area occurs. And since the space in the skull is limited, intracranial pressure increases and this leads to headaches.
7 distinct signs that may indicate a stroke
– dizziness
– walking disorders
– visual impairments
– development of strabismus (strabismus)
– speech defects
– visible facial asymmetry
– feeling of numbness and weakness in the limbs
