An uproar has been caused by a video circulating on the internet showing a police officer … stealing products from a well-known supermarket chain in Britain.
Cheese, nuts and… delicacies
Specifically, the security camera has… captured the 44-year-old off-duty police officer walking the aisles of the store in Devon and removing cheese, nuts and treats.
In the video that saw the light of day, the policeman can be seen arriving at the supermarket and then passing the entrance of the store.
In the next shot, the 44-year-old can be seen going from counter to counter and removing the products he had… laid eyes on, placing them in the special case he brought with the wireless.
He walks unhurriedly, trying not to attract the attention of employees and customers, each time opening the zipper of the pouch on his uniform and placing the stolen goods in it.

It is characteristic that when he went to the cash register, the 44-year-old only paid for one product from those he had chosen.
But, unfortunately for him, the police officer was noticed by the store’s security people, who proceeded to the relevant actions.
He was found guilty
In court, the police officer was found guilty and sentenced to 150 hours of community service, to pay 300 euros in court costs over 12 months and to compensate the company with 30 euros.
In a statement, the local police said that this particular incident does not in any way reflect its role and work and that in any case it will continue the fight and the effort to fight crime every day, wherever it comes from.
