Woori Bank Vietnam announced on November 19 that it will accelerate localization by establishing its 27th sales channel, ‘Nam Binh Duong Transaction Office’, in the southern Binh Stock Exchange.
Binh Duong City is a key industrial city adjacent to the northern part of Ho Chi Minh City, the economic hub of southern Vietnam, and is seeing a steady influx of people thanks to the Vietnamese government’s smart city project. New towns such as △administrative town, △shopping mall, △industrial complex, and △financial center are being built, and it is a city with a transportation network that quickly connects to major cities such as Ho Chi Minh, Bien Hoa, and Dong Nai.
Woori Bank Vietnam plans to develop the newly opened Nam Binh Duung branch into a retail-specialized sales channel for local customers. While promoting corporate finance linked to the Binh Duong branch, the plan is to expand the retail sales base for locals, including △personal loans △credit cards △salary accounts △settlement accounts △currency exchange/remittance.
An official from Vietnam Woori Bank said, “Vietnam Woori Bank has focused on localization and the number of digital-based retail customers has increased by 200,000 over the past year,” adding, “We are focusing on attracting collection accounts for local companies with sales networks throughout Vietnam and small business owners. “This is the result of promoting all-round sales linking corporate finance and retail.”
Meanwhile, Vietnam Woori Bank expanded four new sales channels this year, including △Hanoi My Dinh Branch △Lotte Mall Branch △Lotte Center Branch △Nam Binh Duung Branch. The company plans to open a West Saigon branch next month and operate a total of 28 sales channels.
