To improve the experience of sellers and buyers, Vinted is deploying three new features on its platform.
Vinted is rolling out new features with the aim of improving the experience of its members, making buying and selling second-hand items even easier and faster. Among them, the second-hand e-tailer is launching the “Electronics” category. While some second-hand electronic devices were already on sale on the platform, they did not have a dedicated section. This new category aims to improve the visibility of second-hand electronic devices, thus facilitating their resale. By grouping these items in a new tab, it becomes easier to sell and buy game consoles, audio equipment (headphones, headsets, audio players), portable connected objects, e-readers, chargers, etc.
Meeting the growing demand for luxury pieces
Demand for second-hand luxury items is growing strongly on the app, as is the number of these products put up for sale. The platform is therefore deploying a new category, allowing you to centralize pieces from major brands: the “Designers” tab, located at the top of the home page.
In addition, a new item verification service allows members to have second-hand designer pieces authenticated by Vinted’s team of experts. Thus, buying and reselling luxury items can be done with complete confidence.
Facilitating the sales process
Selling unused items with the aim of increasing purchasing power has always been one of the main motivations for consumers to turn to Vinted and second-hand. Thus, to improve the sellers’ experience on the application, the platform launches the “Income and statistics” functionality, which allows users to track their sales. This new feature enriches members’ profiles by offering them a detailed dashboard to evaluate their activity. Thanks to this tool, they can view the total earnings accumulated since registering on the platform and have an overview of the total potential income from their active ads.
