visitors will be able to meet their scientist

On September 27, from 17:00 to 21:00, the traditional Night of Scientists will be held at Daugavpils University (Paradis Street 1 and Parades Street 1a), which is actively attended by city residents of all ages.

Daugavpils University (DU) is the only scientific institution in Latgale that is organizing a wide range of events this year. Those interested are invited to take a journey into the labyrinth of science, find simple answers to complex questions and meet their own scientist. The motto of this year’s Scientists’ Night is: “Meet your scientist!”

As visitors move through the labyrinth, they will have the opportunity to debate, quiz, experiment, create, get a glimpse into the daily lives of scientists, and visit laboratories.

«Start your journey by choosing the direction that interests you. Step onto the “Cultural Podium” to immerse yourself in the world of music and art. Continue your journey in the “Erudition and Debate Circle”, testing your knowledge in various fields of humanities and social sciences and discussing issues of current interest to society. Be sure to visit the “Health Alley” to learn how amazing our bodies are. Take a look at the underwater kingdom by visiting the “Waterway”. Don’t miss the chance to visit the “Experimental Station” and be prepared for surprises. “Zigzags of Genetics” will allow you to uncover the secrets of genetics in the laboratory. Walk along the fascinating “Nature Trail” and see how diverse the environment around us is. During your journey, be sure to stop by the “Technology Stop” to see for yourself that technology is our future.
