Viva Fabrica seeks creative patrons to “sell” the industry

His initiative made a lasting impression by investing in the Grand Palais in Paris in 2018. The foundation Viva Fabrica continues its efforts to raise awareness of the industry and attract people to its professions. The 2025 edition will be held at the Lille Convention Center, covering 10,000 m², from February 26 to March 2. Last year, Viva Fabrica brought together 15,000 visitors to Lyon; the foundation is targeting 25,000 this year. The teams worked in advance with the region’s rectorate – which even included the event in the school programs – to bring in schoolchildren.

But the organization of such an event only works with the involvement and participation of industrialists. And the organization is still looking for partners capable of providing financial participation on the one hand and on the other, very concrete, by installing equipment and teams on site. “The brief to manufacturers is to make visitors’ eyes shine,” insists the general delegate of Viva Fabrica, Anne-laure Meynial-Coumaros, also director of communications at Framatome. EDF, Michelin, KSB, Capgemini, UIMM, FIM… A certain number of major sponsors are already committed, alongside the MEDEF du Nord, which will bring a certain number of its members, or the Alliance for future industry.

Possible groupings

Tickets vary depending on the size of the stand from €20,000 to €100,000. But the general delegate indicates that smaller companies can come together to share a stand, which makes it possible to share costs and, in the process, to provide varied experiences to the young people, families and job seekers who are expected. The amounts are tax exempt, because Viva Fabrica is sheltered by FACE and is part of a mission of general interest. The overall cost of the event is between 2.5 and 3 million euros.

This year, the event lasts five days, compared to four in previous editions. The emphasis will be placed on feminization to attract a segment of the population that is still poorly motivated in technical professions thanks to dedicated conferences, the promotion of female speakers, etc.

Viva Fabrica wants to convince local manufacturers to get involved to have proximity and to show a diversity of activity. Last year in Lyon, Hermès was present to present silk work, the Biomérieux laboratory, that of analyzes and even Valrhona on chocolate.
