vivo X200: The pre-launch camera features of the series in detail

Three days since the official launch of the series vivo X200, the company has now confirmed the launch location as well as some more details about the upcoming devices.

The X200 series, consisting of the X200, X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini, launches on October 14 at the Beijing National Aquatics Center, also known as the Water Cube. The event will have a title “Far Beyond Imaging” with vivo clarifying in a special press release that the X200 series will bring a revamped camera experience.

Some of the key camera-related features of the X200 Pro include a 200MP periscope camera with a focal length of 135mm and an exclusive super stage telephoto mode. The accompanying samples show impressive results even at 20x zoom.

The X200 series will offer improved macro telephoto mode on all three devices and an exclusive super landscape mode. The X200 Pro will feature a custom LYT-818 50MP sensor co-designed with Sony.

vivo’s X200 series will support Live Photos which vivo says is compatible with Apple’s Live Photo format.

At the end of the video, the X200 series will feature cinematic slow motion recordings with 4K at 120 fps and 10-bit LOG across the entire focal range. The new phones will also have 4K HDR Cinematic Portrait Video.

All the new phones will run OriginOS 5 and feature the all-new Dimensity 9400 chipset.
