Vodafone redesigns mobile phone tariffs

Vodafone is under pressure, and the network operator has lost many cable customers due to the loss of the ancillary costs privilege. Now the Düsseldorf-based company is going on the offensive and restructuring its mobile phone tariffs. From September 26, some GigaMobil tariffs will include more data volume than before. The network operator is also simplifying its tariff portfolio. “We are significantly upgrading our GigaMobil tariffs and giving our customers what they need most: more data for worry-free surfing on the mobile Internet,” says the acting head of private customers, Marc Albers.

As usual, the tariffs have a contract term of two years and all include a flat rate for calls and SMS, 5G, WiFi calling and EU roaming. The “GigaMobil XS” for 29.99 euros per month contains seven GB of data volume. “GigaMobil S” with 25 GB costs 39.99 euros. “GigaMobil M” with 50 GB costs 49.99 euros. The “GigaMobil L” tariff for 59.99 euros contains 280 GB; for 79.99 euros there is an unlimited flat rate with “GigaMobil XL”.

For all tariffs, unused data volume can be used in the following month. Customers who have also booked a landline connection with Vodafone receive a ten euro discount on their tariff.

There are also GigaMobil Young tariffs for trainees and students aged 18 to 27: The “XS” tariff offers 14 GB for 19.99 euros per month. “S” offers 50 GB for 29.99 euros, and “M” offers 100 GB for 39.99 euros. The “GigaMobil Young” tariff offers 280 GB and costs 49.99 euros. The “XL” tariff with a flat rate costs 69.99 euros.
