The Volkswagen Tayron It’s much more than the 7-seater version of the Tiguan. On sale from autumn 2024, it is based on the evergreen platform MQBnow in the Evo version, and therefore can have both exclusively front-wheel drive and electronically controlled all-wheel drive.

At the level of dimensionsprecisely to be able to accommodate the two extra seats in the trunk, the Volkswagen Tayron is approximately 20 cm longer than the Tiguan, for a total of 4.77 meters: a value slightly higher than that of the cousin Skoda Kodiaq, with which it shares many mechanical components. The latter, in particular, varies now – for versions thermals o mild hybrid – dai 345 liters available in configuration with all 7 seats in use at 2,090 liters available with second row seats folded down in a 5-seater setup, numbers that in the eHybrid version plug-in they become 705 liters (5 seats) and 1,915 liters (maximum value).
