Volodin called on deputies to “think with their heads” before proposing high-profile initiatives

Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin called on deputies of the lower house of the Russian parliament to “think with their heads” before publicly voicing their proposals to journalists in their own interests.

As Volodin noted during the plenary session of the State Duma, many representatives of the factions already pointed out the need for more professional work with legislative proposals, as well as with the promotion of legislative ideas.

“Let us take a more responsible approach to voicing our ideas and proposals, there is no need to create anxiety in society… You need to think with your head before voicing any idea in Telegram channels and other media,” he is quoted as saying TASS.

He noted that Russians very closely follow any initiatives of deputies and perceive each of them as being prepared for consideration by the State Duma.

“No one will think that this initiative is just to attract attention. They believe that since the deputy said it, it means that the State Duma will consider it,” emphasized the chairman of the chamber of parliament.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov criticized the idea of introducing a tax on childlessness in a conversation with RT.
