Vranje gets tourist complex “Borin grad”

The ethnic complex “Borin grad”, for which the urban planning project was completed three years ago, could still be built in the Tulbe settlement in Vranje, since the City Administration is looking for a company that will prepare the design and technical documentation through a tender worth 15 million dinars. .

The plan is to build a tourist-hospitality complex where films and series will be filmed, but also where visitors will have a hostel, shops, gallery, grocer, bakery, confectioner, restaurant, viewpoint, museum, wine cellar, shops for old crafts at their disposal. , a stage with stands and a park.

The complex will border Zlatiborska and Ulica Otona Župančića, as well as the river bed. As it was pointed out in the urban project, which Art did in 2021, several houses and auxiliary buildings, as well as the “Delfin” swimming pool, which are located at that location, will be demolished.

The facilities will be in the spirit of old traditional architecture. The buildings should reflect the traditional old Balkan architecture of the oriental type, in terms of appearance and materialization, with buildings in a row or free-standing, with a maximum height of up to two floors – the documentation says.

An underground parking lot with an entrance from Zlatiborska is also planned.

As it was pointed out three years ago, when the complex was first announced, the idea is to make Vranje recognizable, as well as to pay attention to the works of the famous Bora Stanković.

Applications for the tender are open until November 13, and the estimated value is 15 million dinars.
