Vulkan’s book fair opens with a collection of stories dedicated to women and the most anticipated novel by a local author!

This year again, for the fifth time in a row, Vulkan publishing house is organizing a fair before the fair for all book lovers who are impatiently waiting for the fair events. Vulkan’s book fair starts on October 10 and lasts until October 20, and is held in 31 Vulkan bookstores throughout Serbia and on two sites vulkani.rs i knjizare-vulkan.rswith discounts on numerous editions of up to 70%.

On the first day of the Vulkan Book Fair, World Mental Health Day is also celebrated. On this occasion, on October 10, in the space Marsh Open Space be presented a book Mom, everything is fine, Tuesday is Wednesday. This book is the initial step of the project of the same name, which aims to raise public awareness about postpartum depression and, in cooperation with the Institute for Mental Health Palmotićevaimproving working conditions with mothers who are going through this form of depression. In addition to Vulkan publishing house, the book and the project were also supported by the brand Pampers.

Mom, everything is fine, Tuesday is Wednesday includes 30 stories written by moms and one written by dad. Among the authors are famous ladies – Ivana Zarić, Anja Radonjić (Zoe Kida), Vesna Dedić, Kristina Radenković… It is a witty guide of true stories about real experiences of parents that are rarely talked about. The creators of the book and the project are Maja Maršićević, Marijana Jordanov and Violeta Sremčević. Famous ladies, authors of stories and experts in the field of psychology will speak at the promotion.

The first day of the Vulkan book fair will also be a kind of holiday for the domestic reading public, because a new novel by one of the most significant and widely read domestic writers, Miodrag Majić, will be published – Under someone else’s sun.

As expected, with an exceptional literary approach, Majić takes readers on an emotional journey through the labyrinth of human feelings and internal struggles. Through a “small” human story, the story of retired officer Kosta Rašić, Majić once again confronts the reader with universal themes such as the search for identity, meaning and truth.
