DAPURPACUID – PT Wahana Makmur Sejati (WMS) finally got the best students participating in the 2024 AHM Best Student (AHMBS) at the regional level, who were able to express their innovative work.
Three winners were selected to represent the Wahana region and will compete to become the 27 best participants, who are entitled to present the National final in October 2024.
“Congratulations to the winners! The program to find outstanding students in ideas and innovations that has been held since 22 years ago, aims to produce a superior young generation who cares about the progress of the Indonesian nation through various innovations that can be utilized by the wider community,” said Vica Vayerawita, Head of CSR PT WMS.
AHMBS itself is an event that challenges the younger generation, high school students and equivalent, to design innovative ideas, concepts and works in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Fully supported by PT Astra Honda Motor, the student competition which has entered its 22nd implementation this year, the 2024 AHMBS event carries the theme ‘Young Workers Advance the Nation’.
Participants are challenged to present their best ideas and innovative works, in line with the SDGs, namely education & culture, environmental awareness, public health, and economic empowerment or MSMEs.
It was stated that the participation of participants in the 2024 AHMBS at the regional level had increased compared to the previous year, which reached more than 50% who submitted papers since the registration period opened on July 3 – August 31.
It is noted that in AHMBS 2023 there were only 52 schools, while this year there were 79 high schools and equivalent that participated in the competition.
The assessment and selection process in the screening session was carried out strictly and it was not easy to determine who had the right to present in the final round later.
There are 8 best and freshest idea papers and innovative works that are able to have a positive impact on society that are worthy of being able to appear in front of the jury directly.
Going through the jury’s assessment process in the final round, the eight students representing their respective schools competed competitively to be the best.
Later, the winners representing the regional level must prepare themselves to face the National level. Through several stages, selection of written works and online interview selection.
For information, Wahana through its representative Rafila Anindya Ahmad from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Jakarta, managed to win the gold level champion for the idea category at AHMBS 2023.
Kira Aura Aisyah, a student at SMAIT Al-Halimiyah Jakarta, the first winner of AHMBS 2024 at the regional level, expressed her gratitude for her achievement.
“For me, this is an extraordinary achievement and should be able to be a spirit to face the National selection next October. I will prepare myself and certainly discuss intensively with the mentor for the best results,” he concluded. (dpid/TH)
