It’s been a year since Tesla’s Cybertruck started rolling off the production line and into the hands of its customers, and even though it’s by far the most radical vehicle on the market due to its appearance, it’s still an interesting project for the Waido company.
Waido, in cooperation with the Stars In The Ceiling workshop, has prepared the first full wide body kit for the Cybertruck, which costs $9,990 and is limited to only 100 copies.
The complete package is made of ABS plastic and does not require any modifications to the original electric pickup panels. Widened front and rear fenders are the most noticeable change and make the Cybertruck more than 15 cm wider.
The front fenders still include the same rear-facing cameras as the original, so they’re just as well hidden. Retaining those cameras is key to the functionality of the Autopilot system, although some other modifications were necessary such as new camera housings and longer cables due to the increased width. The factory charging port remains intact, allowing owners to retain all original charging capabilities.
Waid’s modifications do not end with the fenders, as the front bumper has also been changed, making it a bit more aggressive. There are also new door sills, as well as a large lip spoiler on the tailgate. Also, let’s not forget the dramatic rear diffuser.
The Cybertruck in the photos has a special green foil over its stainless steel body, while the color of the body kit components matches the same shade. The pickup sits on huge 25-inch black Forgiato wheels with off-road tires.
As far as is known, this is the first wide body kit made for the Cybertruck, but it is realistic to expect that there will be more.
