There is a strong harmony between Nomad Architecture and lake landscapes. In 2010, the first project of the Milan-based studio was the renovation of a 1950s apartment on the lake. It was the beginning of an elective affinity that also returns in the latest project signed by the team led by Selina Bertola. This is the complete renovation of a villa from the sixtiesarranged on three levels with a surface area of 400 square meters, which included interiors, exteriors and garden.

«The rebirth of this villa represents not only an architectural transformation – explains the designer – but a new way of experiencing domestic spacein perfect harmony with the surrounding nature.”

And in fact the view you enjoy of the landscape around, between the blue of the water and the green of the vegetation, is one of the protagonists of the house. Outside, the terraced garden follows the slope of the hill and hosts a infinity pool. On the veranda, sofas, barbecue, pizza oven and a large table invite you to spend time in company outdoors.

The airiness of the living room – where Scandinavian tones predispose to relaxation – alternates with the intimate and cozy atmosphere of the kitchen and dining room, united by a lowering in oak, the same used for the floor. In the kitchen, the custom-made furnishings in canaletto walnut with black granite tops soften the brightness and increase the perceived comfort.
