Was cheated of 500,000 kroner

The wave of fraud does not seem to subside. On Thursday 9 November, the police issued a new fraud warning to the public.

An elderly woman from Mullsjö had been contacted by what she thought was a representative from a telephone company. In fact, it was a fraudster who managed to steal all of SEK 100,000 with the help of BankID.

But the police warning is not the only one issued in recent days.

Was cheated of half a million kroner

Unfortunately, two people have been deceived by the “library”. One was defrauded of SEK 6,000, while the other lost a breathtaking SEK 500,000 from the bank account.

– My opinion is that the fraudsters work a lot according to the ‘if it goes, it goes’ practice. If they make a hundred attempts, they might succeed in five, ten, say Patrik Henrikssonoperational coordinator at the police.
