Uber users in the US cities of Austin and Atlanta will be able to hail Waymo robotaxis through the app in early 2025. bestellenThis is the result of close cooperation between both companies.
Waymo’s autonomous vehicles have been available on the Uber app in Phoenix since October 2023.
Waymo operates its own autonomous taxi service Waymo One in San Francisco, Phoenix and Los Angeles, processing 100,000 rides a week. The company owned by Google parent Alphabet began testing robotaxis in Atlanta earlier this year.
Waymo won’t say how many taxis are available through the Uber app, but the fleet will be expanded to hundreds of vehicles over time. Uber will clean the cars and repair them where necessary.
