SodaStream, a water carbonator, has become a popular choice in many homes, offering a convenient way to prepare drinks. It is not only a tool for making carbonated water – it is also a gateway to unlimited creativity in the kitchen. With the device, you can prepare not only classic carbonated drinks, but also refreshing lemonades, flavored waters and even fizzy alcoholic cocktails. In this article, we will show you what drinks can be made with the help of SodaStream, presenting a wide range of possibilities – from simple and healthy drinks to more sophisticated and experimental proposals. In the text, you will also find an overview of the official syrups signed with the brand’s logo.

Carbonation experiments in SodaStream

The manufacturer of SodaStream devices clearly states that the device is intended solely for carbonating water. The user instructions and warnings emphasize that attempting to carbonate other liquids may damage the device and result in unpredictable effects. Despite these warnings, many users take risks and experiment with carbonating various beverages.

Experimenters are trying to carbonate fruit juices, wines, and even milk, looking for new flavors and textures. While some of these attempts are successful and produce interesting results, others can lead to technical problems and the need to clean the device. To see how such experiments work in practice, it is worth checking out YouTube:

It is worth remembering, however, that you perform such attempts at your own risk, as they may shorten the life of the device.

What cocktails can you make with SodaStream sparkling water?

Carbonated water prepared with SodaStream is a great base for many cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It makes drinks more refreshing and gives them a light, effervescent structure. Here are some popular cocktails that can be made with carbonated water from SodaStream:

  • Mojito – a classic cocktail with rum, mint, lime, sugar and sparkling water. Adding bubbles makes the drink even more refreshing.

  • Splash – a simple, light cocktail with white wine and sparkling water. It can be enhanced with the addition of fruits, such as citrus or berries.

  • Gin Fizz – a combination of gin, lemon juice, sugar and sparkling water. It is a refreshing drink with a citrus flavor, perfect for summer days.

  • Aperol Spritz – a popular Italian cocktail with Aperol, Prosecco and sparkling water. Great for summer evenings and social gatherings.

  • Tom Collins – a classic cocktail with gin, lemon juice, sugar and sparkling water. It is refreshing and light, perfect for any occasion.

  • Shirley Temple – a non-alcoholic cocktail made with grenadine, ginger and carbonated water, often decorated with a cocktail cherry.

Water-based drink syrups from SodaStream

Syrups also come to the rescue; when added to carbonated water, you can prepare a variety of drinks – this time without the risk of damaging the device.

Let’s start with the fact that practically every syrup available on the market should pass the test – from Paoli, Łowicz and Herbapol, to brands that we associate primarily with cocktails (e.g. Monin or Monzini). However, the SodaStream brand has its own line of syrups, and among them, licensed flavors such as Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Rockstar Energy and many others certainly deserve special attention. “Special” syrups for saturators (I don’t really know how they differ from classic ones) are also produced by brands such as Fruttamax and Dafi. Here are the flavors of drinks offered by individual companies.
