Göztepe’s coach Stanimir Stoilov, who hosted Bellona Kayserispor in the Trendyol Super League and beat them 3-0, said, “We need to be better at final passes and take advantage of opportunities that can end the match earlier.”
Stoilov said in the press conference after the match that they had achieved an important victory.
Reminding that they had not played a match for a long time, Stoilov said:
“Therefore, we had some reservations both in terms of football and dynamism. But it didn’t happen that way. In terms of dynamism, maybe not with our maximum potential, but I think we performed above 80 percent. We could have scored 1-2 more goals in the first half. But unfortunately we couldn’t take advantage of the opportunities. Kayserispor is also a very dangerous team. They scored 4 goals in the last 2 games in terms of offense.”
Stoilov stated that they performed well in defense but needed to be more confident in attack, and said, “We need to work very seriously on this. We need to be better in final passes and take advantage of opportunities that can end the match earlier. At the same time, we need to continue working in terms of dynamism and be better. We could have scored much more than 3 goals today, but unfortunately we couldn’t take advantage of these chances.”
Noting that there are young players as well as experienced players in the team, Stoilov said, “I can’t say that I am satisfied with everyone’s performance today. Because definitely everyone in our team needs to play with their highest potential and give everything. For this, we need to continue to work very hard every day.”
Stoilov, reminding that their 3 defenders Nielsen, Miroshi and Koray Günter are injured, said, “We have to continue to work very hard every day and give our all. We can win, we can lose, but what is definitely important for us is to reflect this dynamism on the field and to fight constantly because our fans want to see a team that runs and fights a lot on the field.”
Stating that everyone needs to work hard, Stoilov said, “A player who doesn’t fight or run while I’m here definitely has no place here.”
