We have the price of Hungary’s cheapest electric car

Its dimensions are a Dacia Spring not much has changed, only the length differs from the version before the update, the new bumpers have been shortened by 34 mm.

Everything else is unchanged, 1,622 mm wide, 1,516 mm tall and 2,423 mm wheelbase, so it’s still a small car. However, they found a few more liters in the trunk, already 308 liters, which is quite good, considering its external dimensions.

Since the Spring is basically designed as a gasoline car, its floor plate only has room for the electric motor and other auxiliary units at the front, and the battery is placed in the place originally designed for the gas tank. Its electric motor is 45 horsepower by default, but there is also a 65 horsepower version.

Its 26.8 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery can be charged with 7 kilowatts of alternating current (AC) and 30 kilowatts of direct current (DC). Thus, the former takes 4 hours to fully charge, while the latter can be charged to 80% in 45 minutes. Great news a V2L function, that is, electrical devices can be powered through the connector of its own charger, for example even a coffee machine can be operated from the Spring.

How much does the new Dacia Spring cost?

The base price of the 2024, electric Dacia Spring is HUF 7.89 million, but if someone can use the state subsidy, then 1.5 million will be deducted from that, so the price tag can be HUF 5.49 million.

For that amount, we get a fully-fledged electric car. Why do we say this? Because we know that there are Chinese electric small cars on the domestic market (for example, the Relive and Cenntro models) that are cheaper, but they are not even capable of 100 km/h, and their quality is very far from the Spring or any real car.
