We show which three European countries had the highest inflation

The average of analysts’ expectations was 1.9 percent inflation in October.

Consumer prices rose by 0.3 percent compared to September, when they had fallen by 0.1 percent.

The annual core inflation in the euro area, calculated without the price of energy, food, alcohol and tobacco products, was 2.7 percent in October, as in September.

The decrease in energy prices slowed to 4.6 percent from the 6.1 percent fall in September. The annual price increase of non-energy industrial products accelerated to 0.5 percent from 0.4 percent in September. The annual price increase of food, alcohol and tobacco products was 2.9 percent in October, following 2.4 percent in the previous month. Services rose in price by 3.9 percent in October, as in September.

The highest annual inflation was recorded in Belgium (4.5 percent), the Netherlands (3.2 percent) and Estonia (3.2 percent).

The lowest price increases were in Ireland (0.2 percent), Lithuania (0.4 percent) and Slovenia (0.7 percent).

The final October inflation data will be published on November 19.
