“Unfortunately, the floods have severely affected tens of thousands of households, and at this moment, we still have 2,232 consumers without electricity. We expect in the next few hours to reduce this number to around 1,000 households, where the network is functional, but we have to go from house to house to check the installations before they are reconnected, there is a risk of fire / electric shock if we do not take all the precautions caution”, says Sebastian Burduja in a post on Facebook.
According to him, following the interventions, power was restored in more than 90% of the affected households.
“It is an extraordinary effort, in extremely difficult conditions in the field. More than 40 technical teams worked yesterday as well — with water up to the waist or high, climbing poles, in torrential rain,” the minister adds.
