Kamala Harris announced that she will try to get the Democratic presidential nomination after Joe Biden withdrew from the race for a new term in the White House and stated that he supports her as his successor.
Harris declared herself honored by Biden’s support and convinced that the Democrats can defeat Donald Trump.
“I am honored to have the president’s endorsement and my intention is to win this nomination. Over the past year, I have traveled across the country talking to Americans about clear choice in this important election. And I will continue to do so in the days and weeks ahead. I do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party – and unite our nation – to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme agenda. We have 107 days until election day. We will fight together. And we will win together,” is Harris’ message, according to The Guardian.
President Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race in a letter posted on his X page on Sunday, July 21.
