Webcam for the most paranoid? The laptop from Honor can completely disconnect it and hide it in the body

MagicBook Art 14 is a thin ultrabook with a thickness of approximately 13 millimeters and a weight of 1 kilogram. The body is made of magnesium alloy. But the interesting thing is on his left side. A module with a webcam is inserted in the slot here.

One cannot help but remember the webcam on some older Huawei laptops, which was hidden under a fake key. Here, however, it occupied the user from an unflattering angle from below, and the manufacturer abandoned this solution over time.

From there, you click the camera out and fasten it above the display using a magnetic connector. This type of camera could be interesting for even more cautious users, for whom even a sliding cover is not enough. At the same time, it is likely that better optics fit into the module. The camera can also be snapped in reverse to capture the scene in front of you.

At the same time, it is not a poorly equipped laptop, even in terms of performance. MagicBook Art 14 has a 14.6″ OLED display and is powered by an Intel Ultra 5 or 7 processor from the Meteor Lake generation. Thanks to the NPU coprocessor, it already belongs to the so-called AI PC.

The sample is in the video at 1:25 (unfortunately, it cannot be inserted here directly with a specific time).
