The coach of the Whites, Vladimír Weiss, released a message after the match, which pleased the fans perhaps more than the victory in the famous derby.
Slovan insured his key player. According to Weiss, Tigran Barejjan should have signed a new multi-year contract with the defending champion.
“As far as I know, he signed a new contract for three years. Tigran is staying with us. In terms of goals, passes, football vision, he is currently the best player in the league.
He is irreplaceable for us,” Weissa was quoted as saying Sportnet.sk. Barsejgan also proved him right in the match against Trnava, in which he was one of the key players and scored the only goal of the match.
The 31-year-old Armenian midfielder is currently the top scorer in the highest Slovak football competition with eight accurate hits.
“Tigran has a good nature. He is an expert with everything that goes with it. And an excellent football player,” said Weiss about Barsejjana some time ago.
