DAPURPACUID – ‘Tribute to Communities’ will be the theme for the 8th anniversary celebration of Royal Riders Indonesia (RoRI), which is scheduled to be held this weekend.
Taking place at CIBIS Park, South Jakarta, on July 27, 2024, it will be the point where the grand event for the Indian motorcycle user community will be held.
The celebration of RORI’s anniversary in Jakarta as the mother chapter was the first, after being established since eight years ago. To be precise on July 16, 2016.
And in this year’s celebration, Royal Enfield Asia Pacific and Nusantara RE as the main dealer of Royal Enfield motorcycles in Indonesia will support the 8citing RORI celebration.
Of course, Royal Enfield’s support has a special meaning for the 1,034 RoRI members spread across 16 provinces (consisting of 24 chapters and sub-chapters).
According to Didi, the chairman of the committee for the 8th RORI Anniversary, the support from Royal Enfield has its own meaning. Including from the sponsors who support the grand event.
“This support will enliven the program of events in the celebration of RORI’s anniversary. Royal Enfield in particular will present its newest vehicle so that members and other communities can try it in a test ride session,” explained Didi.
In line with the big theme being carried, RoRI is planned to invite at least 40 cross-type motorcycle communities, who will later receive RORI’s Tribute to Communities plaque.
“In accordance with the theme of Tribute to Communities, this plaque is a form of appreciation for togetherness during the 8 years of RoRI’s existence,” he explained on the sidelines of a media meeting in Jakarta, Sunday (20/07).
Various event items have been prepared by the committee to enliven it, including Betawi local wisdom. The celebration is planned to begin with rolling thunder from the Gedung Joang 45 Monument and end at Cibis Park, South Jakarta.
Rolling Thunder participants will be welcomed with traditional Betawi dances, and continued with activities in the venue which is designed with a folk festival feel.
Various Betawi culinary specialties were also presented in the celebration of RORI’s 8th anniversary, such as Kerak Telur, Selendang Mayang, Gulali, Kue Cubit, Kue Pancong, Putu Mayang, Es Goyang and Bir Pletok.
On this occasion, the Royal Rider Indonesia community will also hold the Inauguration of the RORI President for the 2024-2026 period who was elected through the General Election in June 2024.
In addition, the charity program that always accompanies RORI’s journey in various activities is certain to continue. Given that this year has held various activities, such as Rock n Ride last February in the Tourism Village, involving the Tourism Awareness community and Cultural Activists in the area.
And the Charity Program for the West Sumatra disaster with the Volunteer School as a form of RORI’s social concern in June 2024. For the celebration of RORI’s 8th Anniversary, it is planned that there will be a blood donation activity, but the time of its implementation is still uncertain.
President of RoRI for the 2022-2024 period, Adnan Maddanatja, said that his party is consistent with the vision to make a positive contribution to the environment, especially the community of big motorbike users in Indonesia.
“RORI will continue to be a barometer for motorcycle communities that are wise in driving and beneficial to the community, by involving all communities and related institutions,” he concluded.
The highlight of the event and also a form of offering to the entire community present, will be the legendary Tipe-X band with its SKA songs. (dpid/DB)
