Are all truck stops the same? In Italy, after trying them in summer 2022, we gave you an answer: no. A little for pricesa little for services different, choosing where to stop during long journeys can often be a dilemma. But what is the situation like in other countries?

During the trip conducted in China aboard the Jaecoo 7 PHEV Lorenzo stopped at a local service area, discovering that behind that “vintage” facade there really is an unexpected world.

From food to electronics

As you can see from the video published on our YouTube channel and which you can find at the top of this article, entering the Chinese service station you discover a spacious and well-appointed environment that is completely unique by our European standards.

Taking the first steps in this large structure, in fact, the first thing you notice is the massive presence of local foodboth pre-packaged (and very particular) and hot, cooked on the spot.

Moving a few meters, a huge one appears electronics shop Chinese, where you can find everything from chargers to various accessories for smartphones.

Those who have traveled extensively in the Old Continent could only find similarities in some German motorway restaurants which are now almost disused, inside which, just like in this Chinese one, you can find anything, from local souvenirs to precious stones.
