The startup WellPet.ai has developed a tool that helps dog owners better understand their pets. The combination of a mobile application and a smart collar enables monitoring of the dog’s health and emotional parameters, providing useful information to owners about its current condition and needs. We talked to Nikola Milanović, CEO of the startup WellPet.ai, who shared with us his expectations for a product that uses artificial intelligence to process data.
“Our goal is to enable dog owners to understand the signals their pet sends them – whether it’s about the emotional state, prediction of health anomalies or recommendations based on the specific characteristics of the dog,” explains Milanović.
This technology uses artificial intelligence to process the data collected by the smart collar, providing useful insights to owners.
WellPet.ai beta testing started – on the market in early 2025
Currently, the product is in the prototype stage, with the support of the Smart Grant program, which helps the team in further development. Beta testing has already begun, and interested dog owners can sign up on the startup’s website to try out the device and provide feedback. “Testing helps us to improve the product and ensure that there are no harmful effects on pets,” adds Milanović.
WellPet.ai plans to launch the product on the Balkan market in April, with further plans to expand in Europe.
