Heavy snowfall has begun in areas of Western Macedonia. Pisoderi, Nymphaeum and the city of Florina have been dressed “in white”, with the snow exceeding five centimeters in some areas, but no particular problems have been created so far.
According to ERT, the snow removal machines and the “salt tanks” of the Civil Protection are working non-stop in order to keep the networks open to all local communities, especially the mountainous ones.
It is noted that the movement of vehicles throughout the national and provincial road network of the Regional Unit of Florina is done with the use of winter tires.
