Pixar has released a new trailer for the movie Elio, which was originally supposed to arrive in theaters already this year. In the end, however, the premiere was postponed until next summer.
For centuries, people have tried to contact the universe for answers—in Disney and Pixar’s animated film Elio, the universe calls back!
In the story of the film directed by Domee Shi, Madeline Sharafian and Adrian Molina, we get to know a shy boy named Elio, who has a vivid imagination and who accidentally transfers himself to the Yhteisversum spaceship. It is an interplanetary organization with representatives from all galaxies across space.
As a result of a misunderstanding, Eliot is taken as Earth’s representative at a galactic meeting, where Elio, who is not at all ready for the pressures of this level, must get to know strange life forms and survive the most imaginative trials while pondering what his real role in the universe might be.
Elio will premiere in the USA in June 2025. If the old signs are correct, the film in Finland will have to wait a month or two longer.
