Namely, during the formation of hydrolat, the water that has been turned into steam takes with it the molecules of essential oils, and those that dissolve in water by condensation, unite and remain in the hydrolat – we can say distilled water saturated with etheric molecules.

That’s why they are ideal for making cosmetics and care, because difficult-to-dissolve plant components do not pass into the hydrolate.

They contain organic acids, so the pH of the hydrolate is ideal for the skin (around 5.5).

They contain up to 3% essential oil, finely emulsified.

Hydrolates where the essential oil is not collected, but all remains in the water, are of better quality, because they have a longer shelf life, than those distilled in copper vessels.

Simply, the creation of hydrolat is an alchemical dance of plants and water, it contains all the beauty and energy. You have to feel it. They smell different.

You can flavor drinks or food with hydrolates. Oh, real enjoyment!

Floral waters are not the same as hydrolats. They are made in a pharmacy, as a fragrance corrigent, and have a completely different composition.
