Launched in January 2024, the TF1+ platform indicates that it has managed to rise to the top of the French streaming market, attracting an average of 33 million streamers per month.
In just over six months, the TF1 group’s video-on-demand platform has managed to make its mark on the French audiovisual landscape. And not just any platform: attracting an average of nearly 33 million streamers each month (an increase in monthly coverage of +19% compared to H1 2023 for MYTF1), this new streaming player already dominates the market in France.
With a catalog of 18,000 hours of content, TF1+ has accumulated just under 600 million hours of viewing over the first six months of the year, 50% more than the second player in the market. According to the report “The Best of the Open Internet” established by The Trade Desk, TF1+ even climbs to 11th position in the Top 100 global digital platforms – and therefore the first French media in the ranking – behind Disney+ (2e), Max (3e) ou Fox (10e) but ahead of Paramount+ (14e), CBS (19e) or Canal+ (25e).
First Youth Platform
TF1+ has also managed to unite its key targets: it comes out on top in terms of market share among 15-34 year-olds (41%), 25-49 year-olds (38%) and women responsible for purchases under fifty (42%). This media thus represents the leading platform among the youngest – 15-34 year-olds – with a daily audience of 1.3 million streamers, or a third of the total number of users registered each day.
Available on all screens, TF1+ is now deployed with first visibility on connected TV interfaces, with a three-fold growth in the number of streamers on Smart TVs since January. “These performances confirm the success of the TF1 group’s digital acceleration strategy, whose ambition with TF1+ is to be the leading destination for on-demand family information and entertainment for all French people.”the audiovisual group said in a press release.
